President/CEO

 

Dana Frese, JD, CPCU, ARe currently serves as President/CEO for Healthcare Services Group, previously serving as Executive Vice President-Claims & General Counsel.

He is a member of the American Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Cole County Bar Association, Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, CPCU Society, Defense Research Institute, and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.

He is past President and former board member of the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers. He also serves on the boards of the Missouri Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association and the Jefferson City Country Club. He is the President of the Parish Council for St. Stanislaus parish in Wardsville, Missouri.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Missouri Southern State College and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has also completed the Executive Leadership certificate program through Cornell University.

Aaron Cooper, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

 

Aaron Cooper, CPA joined HSG in November 2018. In January 2020, Aaron was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining HSG, he was a Partner with Brown Smith Wallace, LLP in St. Louis, Missouri. He spent more than 15 years in public accounting specializing in providing professional consulting and audit services to insurance companies across the United States.

A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; Aaron has served two terms as President of the Show-Me Chapter of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (“IASA”). He has also taught a number of courses for IASA (local and regional conferences as well as national eLearning webinars).

Aaron is a licensed CPA and a graduate of Truman State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master’s of Accountancy.

Becky Branson Hill, MBA, Ed.D., joined HSG in March, 2015 as Director of Marketing, Communications, and Information Systems. Dr. Branson earned her Doctorate of Educational Leadership from St. Louis University and Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science (Marketing and Business Administration) from William Woods University. She previously served as an independent consultant and as Chief Accountability Officer for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Tyge Fourtner, ARM
President of ProCon

 

Tyge Fourtner, ARM, serves as President of Providers Insurance Consultants. He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Most recently, Tyge has been assisting large national and international clients with risk financing, risk management consulting, program design/structure, and coverage placement at the largest privately held global brokerage firm. Tyge has a Bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a Master’s degree from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. He also holds the Associates in Risk Management designation.

Muenks Underwriting
Jesseca Muenks, CPCU, RPLU, ARe
Vice President – Underwriting

 

Jesse Muenks, CPCU, RPLU, ARe, joined the staff of HSG in 2003 earning the position of Underwriting Manager in 2015. She was promoted to Director of Underwriting in 2017 and Vice President-Underwriting in 2021.

Ms. Muenks graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. She earned the designation of RPLU in 2005, and in 2013 completed studies to earn the designation of CPCU from The Institutes and in 2017 the ARe designation. She is a member of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Society (CPCU) and Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).

 

DianeChief Medical Officer
Diane L. Light, DO FACOS

Diane L. Light, DO FACOS serves as Chief Medical Officer for Healthcare Services Group. She has served on the Board of Directors for Medical Liability Alliance since 2006. During that time, she has also served on the Board of Directors for the HSG Charitable Foundation and joint claims committee for Medical Liability Alliance and Missouri Hospital Plan.

Dr. Light has served the greater Jefferson City area since 1992 as a General Surgeon. She has been active in leadership roles at Capital Region Medical Center, serving on the Board of Directors and several hospital committees. She is currently serving on the MU Health Alliance Board of Directors. She previously held positions on the YMCA Board of Directors and the City of Jefferson Historical Preservation Commission.

Dr. Light received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia, Doctor of Osteopathy from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU) and completed a General Surgery residency in Lansing, Michigan. She is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. She is a member of American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.

Macy Smith, RN, BSN
Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety

Macy K. Smith, RN, BSN, joined HSG in April 2024 and serves as the Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety.

She is a registered nurse and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2011. She has worked for nearly 20 years in the nursing field, serving in nursing and systems management leadership roles. She earned her Continuous Quality Improvement – Green Belt in 2012 from the Six Sigma Global Institute.

Macy is a multi-faceted and solutions driven healthcare leader with expertise in developing and managing risk and quality management programs to evaluate and improve the delivery of patient care services. She is experienced in strategic planning of risk management and reduction activities, investigations, claims, and clinical outcomes while ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, corporate and hospital policies and procedures. She is adept in implementing risk and compliance measures for new and revised regulatory standards from state departments, CMS, TJC, FEMA, FDA, OSHA, CDC, AHRQ, DOJ, AND DOD.

She is a member of the American Society for Health Care Risk Management.
